Enjoy the Rest of Your Life, From Awake To ZZZZZ
How is your Sleep? Good quality sleep is
essential to health and longevity, yet most Americans do not seem to
get it. A recent study showed 90% of people are sleep deprived.
Everyone needs a good night's rest, a balanced diet, and regular
exercise to feel well. There are over 85 sleep disorders, and we can
help identify and treat such problems. Some of the most common
disorders we treat include:
Sleep Apnea - If you suffer from fatigue,
excessive sleepiness, loud snoring, or periods where someone
observes your breathing stopping, you may have this sleep disorder.
If left untreated, sleep apnea can lead to strokes, heart attacks,
and sudden death.
Narcolepsy - If you experience sudden
"sleep attacks," feel sleepy all day long, and have
disturbed sleep patterns at night, you may have this sleep disorder.
Narcolepsy can go undiagnosed for years, but once identified and
with proper medical attention and treatment, people can return to a
more normal and productive life.
Restless Legs Syndrome and Periodic Limb Movements -
If you find yourself having irresistible urges to move your
legs when lying down in bed, and this feeling goes away when you get
up, or you have limb movements that keep you or your bed partner
from sound sleep, then you may suffer from one of these sleep
disorders. These disorders can cause difficulty falling asleep,
frequent nighttime awakenings, and daytime sleepiness.
Childhood Sleep Problems - Did you know that a
recent study showed that 25% of children with Attention
Deficit Disorder (ADD) also have an underlying sleep
disorder? We can help identify these issues and more.
Our Mission is to provide the highest quality, comprehensive, and
most compassionate care to all of our patients.
